Was sharpening some knives and BH's this evening, got to thinking, 8 weeks till season opens here in KY. How many of you have hunting knives you have neglected, broken blade tip, or just needs to serious TLC? Hunterbob, broketooth,mwmwmb,and bowboyand gmmat you are all in. I use fine belt sander for repairs, nicks, broken tips, taking care not to get blade hot. I use a variety of chemicals in cleaning of what I can using a toothbrush, then clean and buff with professional high speed cloth buffing wheels with 240,340,400 and finally 555 grit buffing compound that I use in buffing firearm barrels before I hot blue them. It leaves steel looking like chrome, a must do before bluing, it is onlly as good as the polish. This just takes me a few minutes to do, did thousands  for customers when I ran a pro shop/gunshop for years. Well here is my address, get em in the mail with return shipping funds.

Mighty kind gesture! I'd take you up on it but I spent the last two weeks doing nothing else on my spare time but sharpening my hunting knives and broadheads!!! DANG! LOL!!!
