Possibly the Fastest Bow I've Ever Shot!/ Pics
« on: July 14, 2009, 08:12:00 PM »
I got Bob Morrison to send me the new Chyenne Longbow. Yep, the Chyenen Riser with the new longbow limbs...  It is 49 lbs. @ 28  and it flat out cooks...  I would need it to be at least 64 bow, this one is a 60' total, but I'm telling you.. It is fast as grease lightning... Seriously..

Great bow... By the way... It is very quiet too.

the foam cores with the black carbon limbs make a great shooter....

Blessings,
Steve

Great Morrison bows.. My Cheyenne recurve was by far the best performing bow I have ever owned.. My PGA Widow is close but the Morrison is so good that I always shot a bit high with it.

I have a new set of carbon/foam core Cheyenne recurve limbs on my riser. I never owned a bow that shot faster it smokes a arrow and is dead quiet. I was out shooting this evening and everyone there noticed how quiet my cheyenne was.

Steve, There is no carbon in that set of limbs, only foam and fiberglass. Carbon will gain around 4 fps. We have some orders for the cdarbon but none have shipped yet.

Bone, that wasn't nice at all... You know if I were gonna sell it I'd let you shoot it first... Unfortunately, this is a demo. Bob isn't ready to sell this one yet....  Incredible bow!

Steve

I bought an ILF with carbon foam limbs recently and it is a real performer. I love'em.

Steve,
When you finish with it Bob's sending it to me try.

I have been so impressed by what I'm reading about these new limbs and the Pictures I've seen, that I have ordered limbs just like these [faom core/ glass] in the "D" lenght.

Should make a "Sweet 60" Bow" on my A riser.

Can't wait to give those new limbs a try. As a matter of fact, with Bob's permission, I'm going to have them at the Wash State Trad. Rendezvous in Packwood, July 31st thru Aug. 2nd. for everyone interested in them to try out.

I have two sets of carbon/foam Dakota limbs for my Shawnee so far. All I can say is they are super fast and smooth and draw nicer than any of my boo limbs. There is no comparison between my 75# boo limbs and my 72# carbon, carbons faster and feel like your only pulling 65#.

Oh yeah.  It actually is a little to the right...

For some reason I only shoot longbows to the left. I guess it is the shelf not being cut to center on them???

But hitting right is not a problem, I can use a thicker side plate and it clears it right up...
Blessings,
Steve

I need to clairify the above...

I do bare shaft and still hit left with most longbows not cut to center.

With a recurve I bare shaft and if it is hitting right with feathers, I'll build out the side plate and re bare shaft and start drilling...
Blessings,
Steve

Paul.
Thanks for the heads up.  Did not know about that one. I think I could jump on the Electra Glide. [ not hard to do with weather like we have been having.] If I come up thru Cougar, past Mt. St. Helens, to Randle, it's a beautiful [ albet, sometimes bumpy ride ], of right at 100 miles, on a very fun, very curvy, back road.

Not too hard to include in my Shawnee, arrows, and camping gear as I have plenty of storage.  Do you know if they will have food available there or close by?
