Mixing Brownells and BCY's B-50?
« on: July 17, 2009, 07:10:00 PM »
Has anyone had any trouble mixing the B-50 type string material from Brownells with the same type from BCY?  They look like they are the same diameter.  I don't think it is going to cause a problem, I was just curious if anyone has any experience mixing them or if you have noticed any significant differences.

I know they are both dacron strings, but for me I would not mix strings from different manufacturers. There might be slight differences in they way they are made.I just don't like to mix strings that were made by different companies.

The stretch/creep ratio is different between them--I wouldn't mix them.
