Sept. in the Rockies, a nice bull...
« on: July 18, 2009, 01:08:00 PM »
Well I finally got to go out and get some scouting done.  I even talked the wife and boy into going along.  They well less than excited at 4:30 a.m.
It was another amazing high country morning.....

We had no trouble finding game today. The antler growth is VERY good this year.  These bulls were with a small group of cows, but the ladies moved into the tress and I only got pic's of the bulls....

A little later we ran into a couple pretty young bucks...

The next group of deer we found had 13 bucks in it.  They were spread out in a big park.   We ened up getting with in 100 yards of the biggest buck a shot him a few times with camera.

This might be Lunch in Sept.!

It was an awesome morning. We saw alot of game that we never had time to takes pictures of. We live in one of God greatest piece of work and I truely am thankfull for it...

Anytime spent with the family it great....

Hopefuly I will run into that big buck in about 6 weeks!

Great pic's. Thanks for sharing!   :clapper:
Someday you and I will take the Great Hart by our own skill alone, and with an arrow. And then the Little Gods of the Woods will chuckle and rub their hands and say, "Look, Brothers. An Archer! The Old Times are not altogether gone!"

I was just out in Colorado last week visiting family. I got to hike a bit in the mountains. You live in some of the most beautiful country I have ever seen. You took some great photos, saw some beautiful game, and spent time with your family all at the same time. What could possibly be better than that!

Great pics, that gets me fired up. Heading up there next weekend to work on the prairie dog population and chase some bulls in velvet on some private land that my buddy has tags for.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE !!! a nice muley and that is a good one and I know you don't need me to tell you he will be hard to find in the daylight in the season. But I sure hope you do !!! Beautiful country a good looking boy you have and a big muley along with some others and a few elk can't beat that for a trip to the mountains.Again good luck! Bill
