« on: July 21, 2009, 11:35:00 AM »
I have some old Rapid Rails when Wayne P. was still makin them. I really like them EXCEPT that dang Chinese slip knot. Didn't someone post on here how to change out this hollow rope system and go to buckle and strap?/ thanks

Rapid Rail is a climbing stick kinda like the Lone Wolf sticks but looks more like a ladder...

I sent an email to Ameristep about this...Here's their reply:
"WALLY ,THESE WILL NOT CONVERT AS THE STRAP SYSTEM HAS A CLIP THAT GOES INTO BRACKETT THAT IS WELDED ONTO THE RAPID RAIL THANK YOU AMERISTEP".

Joey, I just got some ratchet straps and did a loop around on the one side and the hook goes on the other...ratchet is on the back of the trunk.

I taped over the ratchet "guts" and dipped the thing in plasti-dip to quiet it up some and take the shine off the brassy part.
