Who is Ragim USA ?

Has anyone heard of Ragim USA ? I have been still undecied on what I am going to do for a bow. But I ran across them and there product seems good. I know they are not a custom bow, but I think it will do fine for now. Please let me know your thoughts on Ragim USA.

I have one of their 30 pound 68 inch take down recurves  I bought for kids and slight woman to learn archery.  It has laminated limbs and wooden riser.  Shoots smooth.  Good for what it is.

I've been thinking about trying to locate stiffer limbs for it so I can use it for bow fishing.. say 45lbs.   Can anyone tell me if there is any uniformity in take down limbs from different commercial manufactures? The limbs on this bow are 1 1/2 inches wide and 7/8 thick where they mount to the riser.  The mounting brackets on the riser are plastic.  Maybe I'd be ill advised to mount stiffer limbs into plastic brackets.  And probably I could buy a new bow for what garden variety limbs would cost?

My wife has an older Victory with 20# limbs and I wrote the USA branch wondering about heavier limbs... NO RESPONSE!!!

Now that tells me a lot about a company right there!

My first bow was one of theirs.A 68" LB 45 & 28. Real heavy limbs and black glass front and back (liability I guess) I got pretty accurate with it shooting poc arras. Yes, real hard to get a hold of customer service and then it is hard to understand them. I think I was talking to someone in Italy.. I gave $200 new.

I think if you invest that same $200 into a good used bow, you would be better off longbowgirl. If you need any help feel free to pm me and I'll try to help any way I can.
 BTW if anyone has a longbow in good shape and in that price range and weight she's looking for, post em' up here! Lets get this lady shooting!

They make traditional equipment for PSE, who is just down the road and I use their range.  I shot a low end take down recurve, Impala I think it was called, which was not worth the money by a long margin in my experience.  Then I shot a longbow that PSE calls or called the Sequoia which I was prepared to also dislike and it shot very well.  They had a barrel full on close out and I bought it, with a string it was like $120.  I enjoyed it so much I now have a custom and it does not get used any more but was a great starter LB.  If it were me I would follow Arwin's advise.

If I would live in the US I would not buy a bow from outside the US, besides some specialty bow from Korea. I think a good start would be the Midsize recurve from Maddog Archery, a sponsor here, unless you draw more than 26". And his midsize longbow is woth a look also.  I would also post what draw weight you`re looking for and what your draw length is. Samick bows were real good when they were produced in Korea, but since they produce in China the quality is questionable.
Another good starting bow is one of the older recurve bows on the auction site, especially Wings (Bob Lee) and Bears.
