? for canadian trad guys
« on: July 31, 2009, 09:37:00 AM »
Although I have always been happy with the service that I have recieved from the stores I order from state side, there are somethings they will not ship across the boarder(probably with good reason).
I would like to buy things like glue, fletch lac, creasting paints, etc(flamables) in bulk and was wondering if you knew of a Canadain dealer that can ship within Canada.I'm not a registered business so places like Golden Arrow,Porcupine Creek, etc are not an option YET.
I love the selection at Three Rivers and plan to keep shopping there ,it's just some items I can't get or do you know of substitutes for these products that can be found at the local hardware store.
I,d be thankful for any help you can give.
Gary

NF-Being from Windsor, I can run over the border and get my supplies. I know Bohning will not ship to Canada, and have no dealers here either. Their chemists are working on shippable paints and lacquers. PM me what you need, and maybe I can help you out. I'm going to Cabela's tomorrow.
Heading up to Temagami on the 15th for bear.

Second the Archers Nook. Google up their site. They've been around a looong time. They do mail order.
The older I get, the better I was.

Another option is the bow shop in Kitchener- which is part of Shooter's Choice. They have a pretty good range of trad equipment, as well as over 25 longbows and recurves on display. Yes, like any shop they are compound heavy, but they do have some knowledgable staff, and a website to boot.
