Royal treatment for 40yr old ACMEs
« on: August 01, 2009, 09:49:00 AM »

I had some ACME POC shafts that were calling to me. Because I love splicing feathers now that I kind of have the hang of it this is the result......
Isaiah 49:2...he made me a polished arrow and concealed me in his quiver.

Bragging may not bring happiness,
but no man having caught a large fish, goes home through the alley.

I don't think I'll be hunting with these. When I do shoot them I'll be picking a different spot for each arrow! No robinhoods on these! haha

Beautiful!
If these are your best arrows, you SHOULD hunt with them!

I'm on the fence about hunting them actually. I am going to cut, taper and glue some heads on them and see how they fly. They may be a little light in spine weight for the heads I want to shoot.
I do have some real turkey feathers that I am thinking of making some 4" shield cut fletchings out of. I have been wanting to try the 4-4" fletched arrows to see how well they shoot.

Snag, since you are torn with the choice whether or not to shoot them send them to me and I will shoot I mean dispose of them for ya. That is just the kind of guy I am. HA HA. Very nice indeed. Thanks for sharing the pictures. Flint

I just love the generosity of those who lurk...I mean contribute to this site!  ;)    :biglaugh:  But I couldn't put you through having to dispose of these...so I'll find a purpose for them! haha
