Jeffery,
You can get the grid board at any sewing supply or Wal Mart, mine cost around fifteen dollars.
Tippit,
You can’t have too much Osage, it is like gold in Montana. I seldom sell any of my bow wood; every couple of months I refer somebody wanting to buy a stave to Mike Yancy or Gary Davis.
Calvin,
Unlike your bow last year, if you bid enough to get this years St. Jude bow ,you will not have to wait six months for your bow (Calvin won the bow I donated last year). Also, this year’s bows target weight is really close to your preferred weight.
Bob,
I believe John has a good idea, keeping the practice bow as a back up in case something happens to the St. Jude’s bow. Also, the Practice bow is only 62” and has a target weight between 65 and 70 pounds at 28”, which is a little stiff for most of the bidders out there.
John,
The stave and floor tiller looks great! I am looking forward to doing my part. My cull works really well on bows between 66-68 inches but does not induce enough reflex on most of the bows I make, usually between 58-62 inches. One of these days, when I have more shop space, I will build a shorter form.
