fox bite crazy story
« on: August 04, 2009, 07:40:00 PM »
I have been hunting in ohio for 35 years and never heard of anything like this. today while trying to call coyotes a gray fox that i would guess to be a yearling bounced out of the brush pile that i was hiding against and bit me on the knee. After realizing i was way to big to be the injured rodent i was pretending to be he let go and bounced back into the brush.no stiches were needed but i have to go through the series of rabies shots now, craziest thing i have ever seen.

Good calling!! Been there done that rabie shot thing, not near as bad as it used to be. Not bad stuff to have in you if your a hunter nowdays. Have your tether checked every few years and get the booster to keep levels up an you will never have to do it again.

I have never heard of that.  I consider myself fortunate to get within thirty yards of a fox.  They are cagy critters.  I bet he's still shaking his head wondering what just happened to his universe.

In addition to rabies shots, I would also require a fresh set of undies after that encounter.  That's wild!

Well I'm sure that when he tell's the story the other foxes think he's just lying.

You know the fella, the one that always has a tall tale of the rodent he jumped that was "THIS BIG!!!"

Poor fox, he'll be the laughing stock of the forest.  And you think you've got it bad, at least we believe you ... or do we?  :saywhat:
Do or do not ... there is no "try"
