I love these threads.I'm guessing the year on this to be about 1978-79,judging by the bow.It's a 54" Bighorn that I had made the second year they were in business.This backpack camp is in the Dolly Sods Wilderness area of West Virginia,early/mid November.

Great pics by all. Thanks for sharing! The Shrew camp is what I picture in my minds eye when I think about a "deer camp" should be.

Come on Fall!

My truck camper on my favorite camping spot.  It's public land and I rarely see another hunter.

Friends in camp

Talking into the night

Mockingbird starts a morning fire

November snows

Witch hazel always makes me feel lucky

Killdeer   :wavey:
Long, long afterward, in an oak I found the arrow, still unbroke;
And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend.

This is will be my home for the month of September.  Actually, I have upgraded to a little larger tent - same style, and will live in it first in Colorado and then in New Mexico.

Come October and November, this will serve as whitetail camp back here in Wisconsin.
