My little home away from home.
This is near the Florida north/central Gulf coast on a 4500 acre timber company lease.
The little cabin is 10x15 interior with an 10x8 front porch, it is all cypress with an air conditioner, microwave, (generator powered). 2 burner gas stove, two cots and all the comforts of home
!
and the road to camp

JimB,
Do you still have that Bighorn? I believe Fred started in 1977. I couldn't afford to get mine until 1982. I think they were $295.00 then. What did they cost in '78?

I'm real lucky to have a Dad that always wanted a Houseboat. We built this 21 years ago out of old cypress houses we tore down ourselves. I really cherish every trip I make to the camp. It has a diesel motor and generator on the back.

Too cool, Grabwad! I suppose that gator skull by the stove is dried out pretty good now, eh?

It was a 12 ft gator from a long time ago. The buyer had it from another fisherman and he gave it to my dad.

Loving these pictures. Heres my simple home away from home. Homemade tarp tent with a woodstove. Hope to be back there in about 2 months.
