I don't post here often, but I wanted to let everyone know about a super guy and his strings. Tony Cochran runs a small company called Three Tree Strings, out of Indiana. He has a website you can look over.
I recently ordered a new string for my take down longbow from him and it came too short to brace the bow properly. It was entirely my fault. I am new enough to this game that I measured the string off the bow, and should have known that under tension on the bow it might measure longer. Which it did.
Once I measured the string under tension and sent that to Tony, he made me another string. In fact, I just got it yesterday, and he actually made and sent me two strings! For my incovenience! And it was my fault the whole time!
This string is fantastic, it is beautifully put together, you have to see one to appreciate it. Tony makes his own wooly silencers and they compliment the string well. Mine is TS1, 8 strand with padded loops, and is it ever quiet on my bow. When I shoot I only hear a tiny little dead thump, too quiet in fact for my camcorder to pick it up just a few feet out in front of the bow. All you can hear is the arrow going by.........
With super high quality strings and that kind of customer service you cannot go wrong with Three Tree Strings.
