Long wait for my Zipper
« on: August 20, 2009, 07:38:00 PM »
My self, Rabbittman and our buddy Don went to visit Bill and Tracey Dunn today. Two new Zippers coming!!!!Can you believe this? One longbow and one recurve. Rabbittman picked his up on Monday had a small blemish in the finish on one limb. Bill said come on down and I'll fix it. I had a deposit on one since Cloverdale so off we went and the rest is history until May/June.My wood has to dry so the long wait. Mike

I know what you mean about the wait. I ordered a Blacktail Elite VL TD recurve last September of 2008. I'm still waiting. But, good things to those who wait.     :D

I thought you might want another look at the wood you will be waiting on.

Well, I'm not waiting anymore  :bigsmyl:  My SXT arrived on Monday. Longbow limbs with Sappelle veneers that look 3D in the sunlight, it actually changes the depth and color of the grain as the limb moves in the light. The limbs have the new carbon and foam. The riser is Bloodwood and Zircote with strips of red and black phenolic seperating them. I know PICs. I will post them tomorrow.

That's cocobolo Rob, some of the most unique cocobolo that I've ever seen....Mike's going to be a happy camper when that bow is done.  I picked up my new SXT on Monday....kingwood and zebrawood riser, foamcore/carbon limbs with flatgrain zebrawood veneers.  Let me tell you it smokes an arrow.  I'll try to get some pics up but, for some reason, I always screw up trying to post them.
