Looking for locals
« on: August 23, 2009, 12:24:00 PM »
Not many trad shooters that I know in my area,I live in Hardy county WV,the guys I go to shoots with both live over an hour away, and there aren't any local trad clubs,my county borders Rockingham co. on one side and I'd be interested in getting together with some one or some people from surrounding areas,Winchester to Harrisonburg or places in between, also anyone in my home state from Grant, Hardy or Hampshire county.THANKS.

Try down in this forum, too.

Talk with the folks from TBSWV, they may be able to network you with someone from your part of the state.

And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend.

Can't really help as I don't live there but I used to do some spring turkey hunting in that area of WV with a friend who does live there.  That's some nice country.

Joshua,
I live in Rockingham Co. and am a member of Bowhunters of Rockingham. Hope to have a few trad buddies show up for our Bowhunters Jamboree, Sept. 12&13. Mostly wheels in club but there are a few good stick shooters.
If you decide to come on over I run a balloon shoot with stick bows in the clubhouse. Look me up.
The essence of the hunt for me is to enter nature and observe+ return safely occasionally with the gift of a life taken.
