HELP! IDENTIFY THIS BOW / BOWYER
« on: August 24, 2009, 06:41:00 PM »
A couple years ago someone from here made this bow for my wife just after we were married as a wedding gift and I made the bowyer a bunch of strings for his labor. I must apologize up front that I have forgotten who the bowyer was or even where he was from. I have had a lot of folks ask me who made the bow and whoever you are you deserve your due so I need a name to put with the bow.

There are no writings on the bow but I believe it is 62" long and 40@28. It is made of cocobolo with sapwood riser with maple cored red cedar limbs.

If you made it fess up! It is one helluva bow and I love shooting it as much as my wife.

If this work looks familiar and you know who it is chime in!

Killie,

I know he was in the USA. He e-mailed me and told me he was about to finish this bow and wanted to know if my wife could handle 40 pounds.

I wish he would have written his name on the bow or something.

Notice the nice little swoop on the overlay? How it curves up the top limb? Anyone recognize that work?

No guys, it's not one of mine. Nice looking bow though. I'm kind of humbled that so many people thought of me in association with such a nice bow, especially since I haven't been posting much for a while.  Thanks, Mike (bodork)
