1st choice: Hickory - either 5/16 or tapered 11/32
2nd choice: Laminated Birch
3rd choice: heavy Hexpine
I'm interested in getting more experience with Doug Fir shafts, but it is limited at this point in time...I keep hearing good things about SureWood shafting....
