David,

You have more karma hanging around on you than just about anybody I know. No one deserves a little payback more than you do. Enjoy it fully my friend. I have this feeling the land owners are about to receive more than they are giving! They sure picked the right guy. It's like leaving milk and cookies for Santa Claus.    :notworthy:

Dave,  Congratulations.  That's great - and it's good to see that sometimes good deeds do go unpunished.

Talk about a "Honey Hole" for hunting!  ;)   Congrats, and it is well deserved!

And to answer your question, yes, I usually have a couple my deer processed so it's cut and packaged nicely (close to store bought cuts, rather than my own...).  I share that with friends and family all the time.  Hasn't played out to the degree yours has as of yet, but it puts a smile on my face, and in some cases warms my heart.

All the best brother!

One of the first lessons my dad taught.  Give back not only to those who have given but to those in need.  Until last year I had a habit of filling my freezer so sharing was much easier.  Things in WI were a little light on Venison.  I can't wait for fall.

Dave,
Congratulations on your new hunting property.  Sometimes, selfless acts of giving are rewarded with tangible blessings, it couldn’t have happened to a more deserving person.

To answer your question, yes I do share with all the people whose property I hunt.  Probably most important is the amount of work I do around their property during the year, especially during the hunting, as well as the off season.  On more then one occasion I have arrived at the ranch to go hunting and spent he evening fixing something around one of the ranches instead of sitting a tree stand.
The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is nowhere as important as being able to place it in the correct spot.

ALWAYS SHARE!! With as many people as you can!

I still have some venison in the freezer of which 72 people have eaten from so far. Be it a steak or a bowl of stew with one or two pieces in it, all those people share that flesh and communion in common. It's a holy act which I feel blessed to participate in.

I have found over the years that hearts soften to the notion of hunting after folks hear of the magic I witness. A full belly of God's mojo from the field (prepared with love) and most will stop arguing with you altogether. Some will even invite you to their land or turn you on to land they know of or have access to. The stingy work hard in this life to feel abundance. It holds truer in no other practice like it does in hunting. That being said, it is no surprise to me that Vermonster had this come to him. A great man as many here will attest to.

Way to go Dave! I use to hunt on a farm and brought turkey and ham at the holidays because they had plenty of venison. Now I share my venison with my students and their families.

Very nice Dave! and well deserved, I might add! I always offer to share with the landowner but they always decline. Good luck this season...

David that place is like how I hope heaven is.  I'm glad to see the good stuff going to you.  Btw yes, I share meat with whoever asks for it, whoever I think can use some, and for sure, if a land owner let me hunt on his/her land. But there's so much public land here in Idaho I never have to find private land to hunt.  It don't look like that though.

It is a beautiful place. Biggie this is one of those "just being there" kind of spots.    ;)

Doesn't hurt to have deer, bear and moose all over though.
