New guy here...
« on: January 05, 2007, 06:23:00 PM »
Hey everyone.  I just wanted to introduce myself as you'll be seeing me around here quite frequently.  I've been an archer since the ripe old age of 3.  My dad has been an archer his whole life and runs an archery pro shop and has been doing so for the last 30 years.  I hunted a couple years ago with my recurve, a Martin X-200, and missed a 6ptr 3x in a row.  I've shot several whitetails, a couple black bears, and snowshoe rabbits, ruffed grouse, and assorted rough fish with my compound, but want to get into traditional hunting.  I'm up here in northern Minnesota, about 2 hours west of Duluth on US Hwy 2.  I'm looking forward to becoming an active member here at tradgang.

Welcome aboard Brian! There are many knowledgeable folks here who offer experienced advice freely. Looks like you have a good background in archery but don't hesitate to ask any question(s) that you may have. Time spent learning about traditional archery will stay with you. Good bunch here!

Welcome Brian. I am fairly new here also, about a month. I think you'll find it's addicting. There is a support group for your addictions though, right here at Tradgang. Kinda odd isn't it, a support group and addiction at the same time. LOL I just got started with archery all together at the ripe old age of 28, already know I'm hooked. I've only shot a deer once, hit 2 with a car, but I will have many opportunties to came. WELCOME!

Thanks for the welcome guys!!!  My dad and I are gonna dig the recurves out for some practice and then chase some snowshoe hares around.  We're praying for a little fresh snow, which has been in very short supply here this winter.  None of the old timers can remember such a mild, snowless winter like the one we're having!!!  I've got more ice in my yard than snow! LOL  I've been wearing my ice fishing cleats to work in case of any foot chases.  :D
