I am shooting a 62" Black Widow PLII 42# @ 28", I pull it 45# @ 29". Tonight I shot my AD Trad Lite black shafts with 125gr field tips and the arrows seemed to kick to the left. I then went inside and got my AD Trad Lite wood grain shafts and put the same 125gr field tips off the black shafts on them and those sunnaguns shot straight and true! Ok, what gives? Am I crazy or could there be a slight difference in the two shafts that one shoots better than the other even though they should be the same just different colors?

I dont know about the AD's but as a rule when they add the wood grain finsh it will stiffin the shaft just a little.

Wood grain finish definitely stiffens the shaft and makes them heavier. This is really noticeable with some brands like the Vapor Blackhawk series....
Do you have identical fletching on both shafts? Wraps and/or paint cap?
Also, quality control can sometimes slip and shafts of the same type can unfortunately have different spines. I have always shot each of my hunting arrows before going hunting with them for this very reason - to confirm the consistency.
Shoot straight, Shinken

Shinken, WTPops, I do not have any arrow wraps, caps or cresting on these shafts. The black shafts have parabolic left wing helical, and the wood grain finish has sheild left wing helical. Both are cut 29.5" BOP and shoot pretty much the same out of all of my other bows. This is the first time I noticed any difference in the two shafts flight wise using the same weight up front.

-as said above, and my experience with the same shafts...the wood grain finish will significantly stiffen the shaft.
