Predator phoenix longbow?
« on: September 02, 2009, 11:00:00 PM »
Hey guys,
I'm new to the traditional archery and i posted my first topic on here the other day but i was at my local archery shop the other day which is one of the only ones around that fools with traditional archery and I was telling him how i wanted a custom bow and he said he could order me a predator in a left hand for 450 plus tax. the only thing is he doesn't have any left hands in stock and i don't think he'll get any so i wouldn't get to shoot it. I've been researching it but i can't find much so i was wondering is this a good bow? and is that a good price? any help will be appreciated

If it's the Pittsley Predator you are talking about, then yes they are a good bow. Not sure about the price, my american brethren will have to pipe up about that.

Please be aware though, they are not a custom bow per se but are probably one of the better and cheaper bows you could get off the shelf. Any 'proper' custom bow you get will be a fair bit more expensive then that I'd imagine.

Just my limited opinion though!  Happy to be told otherwise : )

The Phonix longbow is a super bow. I`ve owned one and it shot very good and was fast to boot. As far as I know Ron Pittsley builds them one at a time and will build you one to suit. They ar a custom bow as good as any. His Predator recurves are top of the line as well.RC
