Why does it always seem to be?

When I'm financially flush I deligently look for classic bows on all the auction sites and classified ads; but can't aeem to find the ones I'm looking for. Now when I'm under employed and can't possibly afford any I find them all?
I've wanted a Herters Sitka Perfection since I was a teenager. For some reason they rarely get sold in hunting weights. I've seen several since I became insolvent.
Early 60s Bear Kodiaks always sell higher than I can afford. I've had to sell the few early Kodiaks, Grizzlys and Alaskans.Murphy's Law always strikes when it's least funny.

I'm not sure what you are calling "hunting weights" but I've seen many a Sitka on the big auction in the past year. I'm partial to the Sambar, myself....smooth and steady 8^).

Might be because there are a ton of folks out there right now also wishing they had a job and selling toys to make house and car payments.
I just got done with my first week on my new job after a couple months of looking. Sure feels good. Hang in there and hope for the best.
I know one thing, for a fella that was in good financial shape and kept his job, this is a great time to pick up deals on all kinds of things. Wish I was that guy....

I've come to believe that the keys to shooting well for me are good form, trusting the bow to do all the work, and having the confidence in the bow and myself to remain motionless and relaxed at release until the arrow hits the mark.

George, for me "hunting weight" means 50# and higher.I see a lot of 40# and less.
Dave, I agree.
