Made some Arrows
« on: September 06, 2009, 09:14:00 AM »
These are 2117 Easton Bear Magnums. I ran in to an old man who runs a small archery shop who has A LOT of old stuff that they don't make any more. These arrows shoot wonderfully with 150gr up front at 30" out of my 55# Grizzly. Nothing less than the Bear Greenhead tips them. Notice the red white and blue theme. Thought I'd take some patriotism to the woods this year. The small silver stripes at the top are how I keep track of which arrow goes with my screw in broadhead.

Long, long afterward, in an oak I found the arrow, still unbroke;
And the song, from beginning to end, I found again in the heart of a friend.

Those are nice shafts.I still have a few of those that I bought new.They are the X-7 alloy,a little tougher than XX75's.They aren't Autumn Orange-more of a gold/bronze color.
