Deer season opens Sat. for most of us in NC.  Good luck to all.  Haven't seen too many acorns yet.

Thanks.

I'll be after my first (trad).  I've got friends from KY and VA hunting with me, all next week.

Will (we'll) report.....but I'm the only one shooting trad.  I fully expect them to fill tags.

Persimmons (at least in my experience) aren't touched by deer until after the first frost.  At least that was what I had always observed -- may explain why I never kill much!!!!    Good luck fellas...shoot em and cut em quick, deer meat goes in a hurry when it's 85 degrees!  :bigsmyl:

Yeah I have not killed one from the couch yet.  :D  I will be there in one place or the other that the wind allows.

I'll take that NE in the AM.

If it does that in the PM......I'll have to drive 40min (which could be a blessing in disguise0.

That's why I like those suburban deer, they don't seem to really care which way the wind's blowing.

I'll be out there with you folks too.  Flying back home to Wilmington area in the morning.  Going to hunt with my dad and brother in Pender county.

I guess it's been about 20 years since I've been bow hunting in NC and am really looking forward to it.

Best of luck to all.
