Going to Ray's on the 18th
«

Well on the 18th my huntin buddies and I are driving down to Rays for some hoggin. We plan on driving all night to get there on Friday morning. I can't wait to get in those woods and put the stalk on a couple of hogs. One of the guys has never hunted hogs before so it will be fun seeing him experience what hog hunting is all about. This is are first time at Rays but have hunted hogs in Florida for the past six years. With any luck the acorns will be dropping and so will be the hogs!

Thanks, I plan on taking a bunch of pictures and making a hunt along when we get back. With some luck we will be successful on a few. We all have been shooting a lot but stalking them can be a real challenge which is why Rays place seems ideal.

Mint,
I'll be there two weeks after you. Save a couple for us.
Good luck and beware of Rays Cathead biscuits, wild hog sausage, and "special" cheese! LOL

I am starting to get hog envy. Envy is a relatively new distraction for me. Never bothered with it much, but I am getting old, and am wondering what life will look like, looking back, without some of these things. Hogs. Tipis. Utes (Aussie utes, not Native Utes
) Alaska. Elk. Being born independently wealthy.

Jeff,
That's a beautiful buck in your avatar. Are you aware if all four of the guys are still coming or not?
Killie- all you need to do girl is sell just one of those pretty bows and you've got the fee and gas money to come down.
You can make it to my place from Fibber's in about 6 hours.
All your expenses are covered- I'll even pack you a sandwich for the ride home so youns won't get hungry going back!

Ten and a half hours. Waughhhh! That is the kind of drive that keeps me from the Tennessee Classic. I have trouble hearing in noisy situations and staying awake on long drives. Looks like you are worth it, though, Ray.
As soon as I pay off my latest bow, I will set about selling one. An ugly one. :D

Killie,
It can't be 10 1/2 hours to Allendale, SC girl...not from anywhere in Virginia.
It only takes me nine hours to get to Washington, DC from Atlanta...and the camp is a lot closer than we are.
