Okay, I have to admit it, I'm addicted.
I decided I needed a takedown bow (you know, in case I get another chance to go to Alaska), so I started shopping. Wouldn't you know, I found one
I had just about convinced myself to order a new Chek-Mate Hunter II. Then my hunting partner reminded me of how much quieter longbows are than recurves. I went home and shot both...he was right. As quiet as I think I have my recurves, they still don't come close to longbow quiet.
A money order is wending it's way via the USPS to New Hampshire where my new (to me)Kota Prairie Nomad lies in wait, already packaged for shipment. She has two sets of 62" limbs: 53# @ 29" and 53# @ 28", yew veneers over bamboo core, cocobolo and ebony riser...drool...
Yes, I am a bowaholic...but I'm done now
