coyote down
« on: September 14, 2009, 08:27:00 PM »
Got this coyote in north ga this weekend. Shot was straight down as he was walking right to my tree.  Shot him too far back but if I had I probably would have shot myself in the foot he was so close!  After the shot he tore out and ran about 100 yards and dropped dead under my buddy.  Shot with homemade longbow, 64" 50lb.@30". Carbon arrow with 200 grain woodsman elite 500 grain arrow.
I don't have a problem.  I can quit deer hunting anytime I want.

Way to go, BigBelly!  That's the best kind of coyote.

Congrats! That must have been a rush!! Always hoped to get a shot at one with the bow but hasn't happened yet. And with a bow you made yourself - the best!
