New TimberHawk Take Down Longbow
« on: September 16, 2009, 12:00:00 PM »
I received this beautiful bow in the mail last week and it is a shooter.  Scott builds a great bow with virtually no hand shock. This bow has a fast flight on it and it really spits out the arrows. I was really impressed with how rock solide the take down connection is. The bow is 62" AMO and 65#s at 28". He made some modification to his grip and I really like it. I'm hoping to put this bow to good use this fall and christen it with some whitetail blood. Despite all the great bow attributes they are only exceeded by Scott himself. A true gentleman.

That's a nice looking bow.  What kind of wood did Scott use in that beauty?

Limbs are cedar, red elm, and bamboo. Riser is diamondwood with laminated birch.

Oh man, I've been thinking about his longbows lately.  That looks sweet!  I loved the 1 piece of his I had.  Great shooter.  I need to call him up and get over to try out that new grip.  I think I'd like it!!

Nice bow!

I'm getting old Jamie! I had to drop down from my 75# recurve. This one feels like childs play and smooth as silk.

Jamie, it's also not so much the ability to wrestle the rabbit into submission that's my problem. It's that I'm too old, fat, and slow to catch them! That's where you excel! I hope to see your Superman dives in action again soon!
