I put cotton balls in a vanilla and let it soke in.Then before season put them on trees around my stands to let the deer get used to it. Then spray myself before i go to the stand. But i still try to come in from the backside of the stand and keep the wind in my favor.

Just made up a fresh gallon for the year for about $3.00 total. Cost you 5 times that in the store fellers !

I mixed up a batch last year.

I think it works as well as the store bought stuff....but....I won't use it again.
I hunted in a slow drizzle, had the scent killer on my hands. My bow was too slick to even think about making a shot. I'm thinking it was the soap. I stay as clean as possible and hunt the wind.

It may be a rumor but I heard if you smear honey around your neck it will over power your breath and they wont smell you.It only works in the early season.   :goldtooth:

I brush my teeth and gargle with peroxide and use pine bows and the juice from boiled down pine needle to cover up my scent.
