Alan Altizer's "Whitetail Eye to Eye"
« on: September 18, 2009, 09:11:00 PM »
This was the first bowhunting video I ever saw, and was very instrumental in getting me into bowhunting.

Any body know if it's still available?

I've seen that one!  I liked the part where he stalked the bedded deer with his boots off in just his socks.

I've come to believe that the keys to shooting well for me are good form, trusting the bow to do all the work, and having the confidence in the bow and myself to remain motionless and relaxed at release until the arrow hits the mark.

That Dude can hunt FOR SURE! I may have that one someplace, I just sold "fast and furious"(pig hunting) to a fellow ganger. I watched it agin before I sent it to him and it was awesome. I will dig around and see if I have that one still. I think thats the one he shoots that nice buck from the ground at about 8 FEET?

Didn't Mike Lapinski have one called Eye Level Whitetails?

I have "Whitetail Eye to Eye - with Alan Altizer" it in my video collection. It's one of my favorites. The VHS box says it was produced by Wolf Creek Productions, Inc., copyright 1989. Maybe that will help if you're searching for it on the internet.

Alan's videos are great! I re-watch them and never get bored. I wish some of these guys that make videos today would watch his videos and learn something about the sincerity of the hunt, 'cause anymore, it seems it's all about self promotion or product promotion with videos these days, and that pretty much stinks.

I wish everybody that bowhunts and likes to watch videos could see that one and "Bowhunting October Whitetails"...Hunting Videos made today don't hold a candle to those Classics...

Did he stalk the bedded buck by a bulldozer in that one, or was that someone else's video?

The best part was when he killed that trotting buck with his painted up Widow seconds after rattling. He also said it was one of his most gratifying moments! Alan's the best and your right, people could learn from his style.

Yeah, this is the video where he stalks the buck bedded down by a bulldozer in his sock feet through the mud...

Years ago there for a few years I think in the 90's I rented every deer hunting video i could find. That was one of them and is still my favorite today.

Great call on Whitetails eye to eye.

Alan Altizer posts on *********** under the handle "Altizer". You could post there & get it straight from the man who produced it.
