Pack with your back quiver?????
« on: September 18, 2009, 09:14:00 PM »
What are you die hard back quiver guys or girls using as your pack with your back quiver? I have always used my possibles bag but was just thinking about using a hydration pack of some kind. So what are you doing to haul your water?

hydration pack.  Puts the weight right where it belongs and is dead quiet.  Plus easy access to the water hose.  Just put it to use hunting this evening.

I used an internal framed backpack with a safarituff quiver strapped to that. When I was stalking I dropped the backpack and used the safarituff as a backquiver. We carried two one liter bottles of water per person in each pack per day. One day out of six I noticed some sloshing sound, but could rearrange the contents of the pack to eliminate the sound. It was a workable arrangement. I don't have any experience with hydration packs.

Just ordered a Houndsman haversack from Bisongear; think it might work just fine
