Ray there was a lot of miles that day. I had to mostly jog to stay aead of them enough they would not wind wind me as they traveled up to bed. The long miles came after the shot in the heavy pack trips to get him packed out. I was by myself in camp for a few days. It was the first time that I had done that alone. My GPS said that I had walked 20.4 miles when I got the last pack into camp right at dark.

Handsome bull! Congratulations
A little premature in the stories climax though. You peaked in two hours and six minutes…but who’s counting.

Ok here are the details before I go back into camp. The arrow hit about 8 inches beind the shoulder and exited about two inches behind the off shoulder. In the pictures it looks like it hit alot farther back than that. This is because of the way that he was laying. Evidence showed that the arrow went through the liver and the off side lung.(lesson learned: it should have been a little farther forward he was not quartering that much)
I was shooting my Pronghorn Series V Foam Core longbow 62" 57@28.
Easton Axis Nano 400 29 3/4" with a 100gr brass insert and a 125 grain magnus stinger broadhead.
