What Polish ?
« on: April 03, 2007, 02:08:00 AM »
What do you guys polish your bows with ?
I not long ago received my Chekmate and have noticed where my hand sits on the grip , it has a lovely lustre to it from the oils in my hand that really makes the wood look nice .The rest of the bow is flat and dull , almost looks like no finish at all ,not complaining LBR    ;)   Don't want it shiny , just a little more "wet look".
So what do you recommend ?

Speedy metal polish, works great on paint too.

I use Butcher's Wax just before and after hunting season. All other times. Old English Polish.
Someday you and I will take the Great Hart by our own skill alone, and with an arrow. And then the Little Gods of the Woods will chuckle and rub their hands and say, "Look, Brothers. An Archer! The Old Times are not altogether gone!"

I usually wipe mine down after shooting with a silicone gun and reel cloth. You will be amazed at the nice sheen it will put on that riser.
