Squirell down
« on: September 25, 2009, 01:41:00 PM »
I shot my first squirell of the season today. This totally made the day worth taking off to go to the doctor. I shot the squirell with a 700gr twig second, ramin shaft and a lead filled 155gr .38 casing and a Shane Hyme 45lb.longbow. Shot him at 33 yards. Man I'm syked. Just thought I'd share.

Nice shot!!
Heck, anybody can hit a great big ol' deer but how many can shoot squirrels at 33 yards!!

What JoeV said, 33 yds, should be good enough for big game I'm thinking.

Thanks Guys. Hey Charlie see you dont have to have a broadhead. But thats just what the squirell was telling me. He thinks your crazy. But then he got real quiet and took a long nap. I'll make sure I wake him up for dinner.

Now that's what I'm talkin' about.  Anyone can hit a deer, but a squirrel at 33 yards.  Top job, man.

I don't know what syked means, but I can understand why you are 8^).

Good shot but don't you think that the arrow was borderline too light for him?!

33 yards is WAY farther than an successful shot that I've ever had on a squirrel, good job.
