On my belt, along with my Leatherman XTI is my all-around camp knife, a Rat Cutlery RC-4. In my pack is my skinner, a Helle Fjellman. I also have clipped to my pocket a Benchmade Mini-Barrage. It's AO and very useful. Also a good gutting knife.

Sometimes a TAT Knife and other times SOG Revolver that I got as a gift or an old cold steel hunter model I bought 15 years ago.

Is TAT Knives still in business, a search didn't turn up anything. I have one of their knives I bought in the early '90s I need a sheath for.

Hey Rob, you back at the anvil yet?
Hunting was hazardous, but at least it guaranteed the freedom of the individual.

There is no doubt that the onset of farming saw the end of leasure for the majority of people, who were destined to toil in the fields.

Some kind of Dozier knife-I have three and a fourth one coming.  They are not cheap, but not really expensive for a handmade knife either, when you consider what some of the higher end factory blades are going for these days.  They are simple, functional knives made to cut things, not to look at, and his sheaths are the best in the business.  Only problem is finding one available, as his wait time is up to 12 months now.

I carry one of my knives.  Usually my Damascus 'Longbeards", or one my "Whitetails".
The season gave him perfect mornings, hunter's moons and fields of freedom found only by walking them with a predator's stride.

I've got a pretty nice Marbles knife that I won a few years back in a Hunt of a Lifetime raffle but I've never used it.  The knife that I've been using for 17 years is a knife that my wife bought me for Christmas from Cabelas.  It wasn't very expensive then (or now) but I've gutted a BUNCH of whitetails with it and it's still hanging in there.

I also received a Kabar knife with a fluorescent orange rubber handle (anyone that's ever lost a knife in the woods will appreciate that feature) as a gift from a church men's group that I spoke to, it's very nice.  I used it for the first time last year on my 13 year old's first deer and it worked famously.

In my pocket is the ever present Chris Reeves small Sebenza w/ S30V blade, nothing more simple or effective.  If larger game or where it will be cold I like to have a generous finger guard for safety and have seveal knives that ride in my pack and do the job very well.  Have a couple of S30v and a Dozier D-2 that sometimes get used by others in deer camp for caping as even if I have used them they are still much sharper than their knives.

I like this one for the size. Blade is 4 1/4 inch which I forged and twisted the 1084 and L-6 and used stainless for the guard and Mahogany Stag for the handle.  Lin

I'm a big fan of Helle knives and Scandinavian style knives.  I've got three different fixed blades that I carry from time to time.  A Helle Harmoni, Cold Steel FinnBear, and a Frost fixed blade.  I like to have more than one knife with me.

There must be a problem with me because I carry 4 knives to the woods with me. There are 3 in my pack and a pocket knife in my pocket. I'm a knife nut what can I say.

Now that's a knife!  Nice work.  My kind of knife.

Anyone know why many knives come with those heavy grind lines as opposed to the nice flat grind like on robtattoo's knife?

2 knives and a tomahawk in the woods.
Occasionally a Paul Chen Banshee short sword strapped to the back.
No name tomahawk-
Cold Steel GI tanto-
and always my everday Old Timer stockman, made before they started using the "high carbon stainless"
