Safety rope/prussic knot
« on: September 26, 2009, 10:12:00 AM »
I was looking at a build along or some such thing a while back and it showed a fella building a climbing rope like he used for tree trimming. I have been through the old posts and I cannot find it now.
I am sitting home with a nasty head/chest cold and so I thought I would try and make a few safety ropes. Any help would be great.
Thanks

Here is a web site that has different fiction hitches that are used by arborists.  http://www.mytreelessons.com/index.htm
Hope this helps brake the bordem.

The link above is really good as well as:

Also:

Has a good testimonial and product although it is a bit more expensive than putting it together yourself.

Good stuff, Thanks Andrew. I will get in touch with a fellow MICHIGAN boy and get me some good rope on the way.
