Yesterday started great here in NJ.Morning was clear and at around 55 and quiet.Me headed off one way,my buddy another. It started at first light with 2 deer in the distance, one definately looked like a buck.Half hr later 3 walked under my tree and as a beautiful morning as it was i watched them feed as they walked by.About an hour later 2 does and 4 little ones walked by in a hurry, one still with spots. As I sat in my tree daydreamin and watching/listening to life in the woods 3 does and 3 little ones walked by and stopped to chew on some foilage. One of the does started walking around and when presented me with a quartering away shot at 18yds,I took it.My 1916 arrow tipped w/125 Stinger hit its mark!! She ran about 75 yds and fell over. The small hole in shoulder is where the broadhead poked out.A GREAT morning for me as the deer was takin with a bow my huntin partner and dear friend made me.
The bow is a Osage & Bocote LB, 60" 46#@28" with Elk in handle & tips.
