Gorgeous new limbs for my Dryad Orion
« on: September 28, 2009, 02:17:00 PM »
I recently ordered a second set of limbs for my Dryad Orion.  I wanted something a little lighter than what I was shooting (54#@28) so I went for a set that is a couple of inches longer and 9 pounds lighter (45@28).

I told Mike and Jason just to surprise me on the woods and MAN did they ever surprise.  I think this is the prettiest bow I've seen yet!     :goldtooth:

I couldn't wait to show it off so I'm going to post some pics that I took here at work.  They won't be great, but I'll get better pictures this evening.

Aint that sexy!

So, after I got it in I called Mike and to see what to call the gorgeous wood overlays on the limbs.

He managed to surprise me again!

Are you ready for this?

They are "Cere Jeira Crotch" pronounced like "Sara Chera Crotch."

Sounds like something you should see a doctor about!      :biglaugh:

The woods in the riser are Bocote and Pau Santo.

I just want to say again that Mike and Jason are incredibly talented bowyers.  The bows that they produce have no equal.  They are quiet, fast, and shoot where you look.  But, best of all, they are a real pleasure to look at!!!!

I'll try to update this thread with some better pictures this evening!

I want to extend my thanks to Mike and Jason for building such a beautiful bow.     :notworthy:    :notworthy:    :notworthy:

You guys are the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is a gorgeous bow Tony! I fell in love with the Orion when I had Hope for a while this year.

The limbs and riser on that bow of yours is sight to behold! Puts me in mind of a beautiful sunset!

Your right Mike and Jason are top notch gentlemen. I just had them fix mylimb on my orion because I twisted it by imprprper stringing. Had it back to me in no time ready for the season. My bow is similer to yours and it does make a beutiful bow. I am also  considering another set of longbow limbs for mine as well.

Well he said he wanted something that would catch an eye at the 3D shoots.  The Cerejeira Crotch filled the bill. . . I guess.  LOL

Glad you like it.

It will certainly catch some eyes at the shoots!!!!!

I didn't get new pictures posted yet, my Dad's aunt ended up in the hospital hanging on to life by thread.  That re-arranged my evening!

I will say this though, the bow shoots like a dream.  I've been shooting a 48# bow since I hurt my shoulder and this 45# bow is shooting higher than it!!!
