7th Age Bowhunting meets Horne's Archery(hunt/bow classes)
« on: October 01, 2009, 07:17:00 AM »
Now announcing a combo deal thats about the best value I've seen in quite some time. We are joining forces for three days of morning and evening hunting for abundant javelina and hogs and mid-day bow building classes. Classes will be instructed by master bowyer Mark Horne. I'll be doing a very basic hog hunting seminar as you work on your new Horne bows. Here's a link to the classifieds   Horne Hunt/Bow Class

If you just wish to attend the hunt and not the class we have a special for that too. Thanks for your interest! Curtis Kellar

If your interested guys/gals this is one great duo to share camp with. Curtis and Mark can teach you a whole lot about huntin hogs. Mark has the bow end coverd by a long shot. You will have a tough time finding two finer guys than these two. I have had the pleasure of sharing camp with both a number of times.

We are really excited about partnering with 7th Age Bowhunitng on this hunt/bow school.

I have had the opportunity to hunt this ranch with Curtis several times and you wont find a better place.  This ranch is infested with hogs and you guys will have a great time.

As for the bow school this will be a hands on school in the middle of the day.  When we are finished you will have a work of art that you made yourself.  We will also take the time to tune your new bow to the correct spined arrow for perfect arrow flight.

David the pleasure is all mine when we have the opportunity to share camp.  Hopefully I will get to see you again this year.

Mark

Wow I sure wish that I had the extra money for this, I would love to learn how to build my own bow. If this turns out well is it something that you might have next year?
Ask me about CTO.

Sal, "kids" generally means 12 years old or younger. I think you have to be 12 to take the hunters Ed. I'm not even sure if a kid over 12 needs huntere ed unless firearms are involved. I could be wrong. I'm not up on all the various hunting laws. Some of that info will need to come from Texas Parks and Wildlife.

To answer your question, yes, the kid can take the class and the Father(or Mom) can hunt. We'll work with all interested parties to make it work for everyone. We'll just adjust the fees. There will be no-one in camp during the morning and evening to watch the kiddo. We'll all be out hunting so the Dad(or Mom) will have to take the kiddo hunting with them. This is what generally happens when Father and young kids come to the ranch. Hope that helps. CK

Yes, it does…  My one friends kid is showing some liking of trad bows and hoping to be able to bring him to one of your hunt/classes one of these days. He just started 5th grade.

This is The Custom Elite in our line of Bow Kits.  It has a Cocobolo Handle with the Decorative Swoop and Bocote overlays.

This bow shoots great I am really enjoying it.

If that's like the blanks you'll be having at the Hunt with 7th age.. Boy You'll have some very happy Bowyers at the end of the Hunt/classes. Wish I could make that outing.
