None here. I went out , but the rain hit hard and I figured there would be drier days ahead and went home for some coffee...Roy

Not yet, but had a very enjoyable first day. Saw a very nice 8pt with at least 10" G-2s and a couple of does. Stayed about 60yds out though. Also had 7-8 Gobblers come by, just outa range.

I had 3 does about 50yards off my right front at 7:10. Nothing tonight. Been working crazy long hours for the past couple months. Sat this morning, then a 4 hour nap, and sat this evening. Had a great day.

Thanks hawkeye.....just pure dumb luck....I worked all night got into the stand at about 5:20...its an L shaped bottle neck of timber on the corner of a corn field...sitting in the climber and all of a sudden this buck comes plodding down the edge of the corn, stoppoing to munch here and there....he steps into the lane and just dead stopped..head down eating...the montec G5 did a great job...complete pass thru and he went down within 30 yards...hit him in the backs of the lungs and he bled out fast and like a garden hose......here is a pic of the guy.

My daughter and I are headed across the river tonight to sit a double stand on a friend's farm.  I only have a doe tag, so the buck will be safe, but we always have room in the freezer.  We also don't let any squirrels to past the stand unmolested, so we are hoping to be coming home with meat of one sort or another.  Either way an evening in the stand with my special little girl, is always a success!
  Good luck to you all!

Just got back from a 3 day hunt out your way in Pike Co. Did not score but had a great time. Saw lots of deer and 4 bucks that were all trophy class{120-160 class}. You guys have the biggest does I have ever seen.......

I took this guy Oct 2.
Wet weather was trick. He came by at 6:15. The dark sky may have caused him to stir early. There is a lot scraping and young buck sparring going on now. Racks look clean and fresh out of velvet with no sun fading. Mike
