Thanks for all the kind words guys. I've only relived the hunt in my mind about a thousand times over the last few days.

Drew - the bird was a two year old, 10-inch beard, spurs just under an inch. I didn't weigh it but I would guess around 18 or 19 pounds. Because of the area I'm hunting it's probably considered an eastern/rio hybrid but he has very strong rio characteristics. The bow is a Black Widow SAIII, 53@28, shooting easton legacy shafts with snuffer broadheads.

Congrats on a job well done!!! Er strike that hunting turkeys is not a job its just plain fun!!!
To me, the ultimate challenge in bowhunting is not how far away you can succesfully make a killing shot but rather how close you can get to the animal before shooting.

I am gearing up for April 16 here in Missouri. Of course this is always a scheduled day in the woods for me.
