Groves flame???
« on: October 03, 2009, 03:42:00 AM »
I recently inherited my step fathers recurve after he passed away.  He had a Groves Flame 45# @ 28" 56".  I finally got a string for it and have been working on tuning it.  I can't seem to tame the sound of it down.  I would like to get it all set-up and hopefully shoot a deer or turkey with it, it would make him proud.

Does anyone know what the brace height is for these bows?  I can't find any info on them anywhere.  It is a really beautiful bow.

I forgot to mention.  It is a smooth shooter just can't get over how loud the bow is. My chickens jump everytime I release an arrow!
