This is really an update on my preparations for the 7th Age pig hunt... only 15 days till I leave. I ended up building not one, but two Big Bad Wolf bows, now known as the Wolf Pair, or Wolfie 1 and Wolfie 2. The first one had some problems and ended up a bit heavy, but I'm working with it. They're real beauties, both variations of using zebrawood. The real fun the past two days, though has been building a 3D pig (javelina, actually). It really came out great... nicely realistic and very tough, with a shell made of burlap and painted on Titebond II. I haven't transferred all the photos over to Photobucket and then down to here. Frankly, after building two bows and a pig in one week, I'm dead dog tired. Here's a link to the web page I did put together though. It's basically an update of an earlier version. You might scroll down and hit the link to the bows, they do look nice, and then to Building Herman. He cost me about $35 and is just a wonderful addition to my backyard range. If you have the space, you might want to study my "Pig-a-long"...
