Mornin' Fella's! Just got in from a fantastic hunt that I put on for Striker Bows. As you guys know I've been away from the computer a heck of a lot lately running these hunts. I appreciate all the interest you guys show in all the hunts. Unfortunately as Dad has said in above post, I won't know anything solid about this hunt until after I return from the May 4th scouting trip. I'd hate to book up a hunt now and then have lots of changes to explain later. I'm quite certain that this ranch is going to work well for us due to a high supply of both hogs and javelina. Plus, how many times in a guys life does he get to hunt a ranch with a 20 square mile border. I think we can fit a few guys on the ranch. As I understand it, there are no working feeders on the ranch right now. That means you'll be hunting mano e mono on the animals. spot and stalk or corning roads. The terrain as partched and without natural water sources. There are man made water holes across the ranch where animals drink. They have to drink here. That will take the place of feeders for those of you who hunt feeders.
I will make corn available on the ranch as well as a limited supply of ice. Your needs should be simple while there. You'll need your drinks and snacks for sure. I'll look into feeding the evening meal but for now it looks like the stated price of $150 will not include the evening meal. I will have a tracking dog with me. Sassy's doing very good and tracked successfully for one hunter this weekend. OK, for now we'll plan somethingaround July 26-31. This would be the 5 day. The three day should run July 26-29. I'll only offer a few spots for the three day hunt. Again, we're planning in motion until I return from the scouting trip.

Black Gold, Call me. I've got hunting ranches around Victoria that I run hog hunts on and I'd like to talk about possibly cross marketing. Thanks! Curtis

OK Gang, We're officially a go on the Texas Afterburn! 7Th Age Bowhunting is now about 140 square miles strong across West Texas now. This event will be taking place!!!!!! We'll be deciding which ranch we'll be hosting the hunt on in the next two weeks. I'm also not sure how many will be allowed in the gate at this time due only in part to limited lodging. If we go with the smaller ranch we'll still have 40 square miles to stretch out on. For now I'll be taking the first 15 hunters to send deposits. The details of this hunt will be posted on Sponsor Classifieds with all the details. For now I'll say that there will be a two javelina limit, unlimited hogs and rabbits. This place has a Jackrabbit and bobcat population second to none. I'll be headed back out west in two weeks to sew up all the final details. We'll be looking at Alpine, Texas as the destination. Please consult Mapquest for travel arrangments. Flights can be made via Midland-Odessa International Airport where you can share a rental for the final 100 mile journey into the coolest 5 day hunt I've had the opportunity to host this year. This is sure to be an event that will hold strong in the memories of all hunts gone by. Rumor has it that we've even got a swimming pool to cool in while you sip a mid-day Tecate laced in salt and lime. If you think you'll be attending please check the classifieds for details before you guys crush my cell phone. I'll go prepare the classifieds right now. Thanks for looking and I hope to share camp with you very soon! CK

Who needs hogs for evening entertainment when you have a Charlie and a Kevin along?  That alone is well worth the price of the ticket!  Now if you could just get a Fulla (Iron) Bull into that act you'd have to get a bigger ranch for the event.
If at first you don't succeed, do it like your wife told you to, to begin with.

Kevin will be coming off a week long gig but has accepted this invitation to attend and entertain you along side Charlie Lamb with the evenings campfire vigils. Simply unbelieveable!!!!

Filled two roster slots already. Hope to hear from you soon! CK

Curtis,

Sent you an e-mail to sign up. Which dates are correct? July 26-31, or July 13-18?? This is going to be a blast!!!!!!
