Sitka Base Layer Question
« on: October 06, 2009, 03:41:00 PM »
Wondering what everybody's experience is with Sitka's base layer and cooler temps?
I find the base layers VERY comfortable, and excellent "wickers" of moisture. However, I freeze when I wear the shirt. Even in moderate temps (45-50degrees). Even when I am moving around.
It feels like my warmth is being "wicked/sucked" away from my skin.
I thought if I wore two of Sitka's base layer shirts under the Traverse shirt would be better, but still the same cold feeling.
Last season I had a 90% jacket, with the same feeling of cold, like my heat is being "wicked" away. I ended up returning the jacket. {(Great customer service at Sitka)
I have a brand new pair of 90% pants (tags still on), I am nervous to wear these, b/c I don't want to feel that same cold feeling.
Any suggestions? Anyone with similer experiences?
Maybe I am just too cold blooded for SG??
