my first trad hunt.
« on: October 06, 2009, 08:52:00 PM »
last December I put up the wheelie and havent looked back. well, this past weekend I went to camp. I hunted friday evening not seeing a hair.
Saturday morning was covered up in does and had a hog about 25-30 yards out in some brush. I finally got the draw on one at about18-20 yards and let er fly. damn, right over her back.  :knothead:
Evening hunt. I am not seeing anything until just before dark. I get a doe in almost the exact spot as earlier. I am thinking I got this one. I get busted on the draw. well not a few minutes later another in the same spot coming from the other direction. I am still thinking I will just shoot lower than earlier and spend the evening making meat. I draw and let it fly. right under her.
I am not sure what to think but I guess I had her bracketed. LOL

Shot Three is a charm.
We are what we do repeatedly. Execellence is, therefore, not an act but a habit.

Its gravity swells. Happens to me a lot. Either the earths gravity increases for a second or decreases.
Don't worry; it doesn't do that ALL the time.

Happens to the best of us, don't sweat it!
On the upside, you can be thankfull that you know it wasn't the bow,LOL! I remember the compound days when if I missed, I spent the next two days ripping my bow apart cause I thought it was out of tune.   :biglaugh:
