Quillian Canebrake Shooters?
« on: October 06, 2009, 08:54:00 PM »
Anybody have any input on the Canebrake?  I was checking out a 62" the other day.  I have a shorter draw (26.5"), and have been looking for something a little shorter, but this looked like a pretty nice bow.

Also, I would love to see some pictures if anybody has some.

I used to have canebrake and loved it, don't know why I don't have it anymore!

I have one, and so far I've really enjoyed shooting it, still haven't found the right arrow setup for it, but I'm workin on it.  Mine is around  50@28, 62".

I've had three. Finally got one that is about the right poundage, at my draw length. IMO, they are excellent bows. The only down side, I have found, is the finish appears to be thin and not real durable. Not a difficult problem to solve.

I have a pattern to the canebrake and have been meaning to build a representation of one. The one i took the measurments from was a FAST shooter. Highly impressed with the way they were built. Well thought out....

eman614 is it marked 61#, or have you scaled it at 61#? What is the serial number?
