First Deer
« on: October 08, 2009, 09:08:00 PM »
Hello everyone.  I finally connected on my first deer with a recurve. Small doe but it was a fine trophy for me after two years with a recurve!   Thanks.

Congratulations was it taken in the Garden State? It is a great feeling -- do you have more opportunites to take more this year? If so I am sure the next one will come quicker, good luck.Jerry

Yes the doe was taken in NJ.  We can harvest unlimited does here. Though only one buck can be taken, with  three points on one side
 in some zones.

Extra Groovy! It took my son Lucas 3 years and made it very rewarding! Don't think that a doe is any less of a trophy than a
PY buck.
