Warrior,
Go to 3 Rivers web site. Under Archer's Den, then from there go to How-to-video's. They have a 3-5 minute video.
This is the method I use. For the final honing they use a flat diamond file. I have had no succes with the flat diamond file for final honing. I just use a good file for the whole process, ending with VERY light strokes.
Gets them shaving sharp!

I bought a 3" diamond stone from the hardware store for $8.61.

Works like a charm.

I use the snuffer tamer on all of mine, It takes a bit of time as you have to change the angle of sharpness but works great!  Jim

I start with diamond stones, then a quality arkansas stone, and last I pull them backwards on a smooth walnut block. This last step really makes a difference.  By the way I am talking about the woodsman elites. The older ones take a lot more work. If I had a snuffer tamer I would definitely try it, because even though the method I use gets them sharp, they are only going to reach a certain level of sharpness because of the blade angle.
I don't have a problem.  I can quit deer hunting anytime I want.

JF,

Your proven Snuffer Tamer should work exactly the same way on the Woodsmen as it did on the Snuffers.
