Last year I set my ground blind up in our garden that has 8 apple trees beside it and shot a nice ten point. So if it aint broke dont fix it. This morning I got to my blind (50 yards behind the house) at about 6:15. As I got to it I heard two bucks sparing in the field behind the apple trees. I got into my blind and was there about 10 min when a small buck walked through. Soon after another small 8 point stopped in front of my blind and began eating apples, he fed to within 3 feet of my blind and turned and walked away. At a little after 7 I looked out the side window that I leave open just enough to see through, and saw antlers, looked like a nice rack and I decided to shoot if I got the chance. The buck walked in front of the blind and stopped to eat an apple. I shot him at 18 yards. The arrow went through the liver and nicked the far side lung. I knew I had a good hit so got out of the blind and walked back to an open field to see if I could see him laying out there no luck. So I decided to go back to where I shot him and look for blood. As I was walking back I saw antlers sticking up out of the hay field. I had walked 15 yards from him but was looking farther out. He only ran 60 yards befor falling. Never made it out off my property. I cant post pics but 4runner has offered to post them for me.I shot him with a 70"s model kodiak mag 52" 50@28 and cedar arrows with a 2 blade zwickey Eskimo.
